Re: How many?
Thanks Todd, that is a fantastic story and the official report is great reading. What an “incident”. It’s like something out of a movie script. Thank you!

Re: How many?
Off topic a bit and maybe not appropriate but Todd mentions that a serious diving accident laid him up for a period which allowed for the development of the watch but I have never seen details about the accident. Can anyone comment?

Re: How many?
I have to agree. The CD1 meets it’s design goals perfectly. I wear mine in the Gulf all the time but also to business meetings. It keeps great time and feels good on my wrist. I will say this though, while his following may not have been large, it was rabid. And the back story is great. I was heavil...

How many?
I love my CD1 (gray) and have been talked out of it twice but managed to buy it back both times. It is now on my NFS list. I am just curious, does anyone know how many CD1s Todd produced?

Re: Sinn Dual Watch Strap
Damn, I ordered 30 of them thinking they'd be the next hot item and would sell out and I could flip them on eBay for big bucks. Maybe I can cancel......

I hate to show my ignorance but on the "UTC" model what is the bezel all about and what does "KTK" stand for?

Sinn 142 St ii
I have one on the way and wanted to go over the owners manual before it's arrival so went to the Sinn site and they tell me it is unavailable. Of all the hundreds of watches they have made over the years it seems to be the only one they don't have. Any idea why? Would anyone (unlikely) have an elect...

Re: Aegir CD1 review IS UP!
Did that fucking Harden have anything to do with Ariel's demise? The bastard.
BTW, I thought all that was left in the CD1 was DLC. Does anyone know if Todd has plans for a new model anytime soon? I have a $6 USD credit with him that I'd like to apply to a new watch!

Re: Minor scratches
Well boys, it's time to admit that I just don't have what it takes. To all y'all that thought having a large file would be a dream come true (and purchased creams and mechanical devices to further that cause) let me tell you it ain't so. I have tried everything I can to download the photos of my sxx...

Re: Minor scratches
I have been on this forum since May 5th and here is what I've learned: Don't bitch about scratches. In fact, don't bitch about anything. I can not figure out how to post a picture. My file is too big. Who'd ever thought? No complaints about that in the past. Harden is a rat bastard and a total fuck ...

Re: Minor scratches
It's "root, hog or die" not "and die". Anyway, it is an old southern expression (well, at any rate Texas) that means you have to make it on your own, toughen up, fight through it, quit bitching and get it done. Most often used inspirationaly as in "boys, we're down 6 points and there is 2 minutes le...

Re: Minor scratches
HTFU, well, I feel stupid. For some reason I thought Harden was a name. Of someone who was a fuck up. its kinda like "root, hog or die". Anyway, I took the pic with my iPhone then sent it to my iPad which is where I trying to post it from. I'll try going back to my phone and posting t from there. So...

Re: Minor scratches
Ok, I need a little help here. I promised to post a photo of my watch but when I try to it tells me the file is too big. I just took my iPhone and snapped a picture. How the hell do I make the file smaller so that it will upload it? What does "Harden the fuck up" mean?

Re: Minor scratches
Hey y'all, much thanks for the welcome and the good information. I have ordered the Bergeon block (Otto Frei, $19.90) but the fact of the matter is I probably won't use it at this point for fear of making matters worse. Or maybe I will, it'll just depend on how adventurous I feel when I have it in h...

Re: Minor scratches
guys, I am not blaming the watch and I would never even consider suggesting this was a warranty issue. As I mentioned, it is a light scuffing that was caused by me that I was surprised to see. It is barely noticeable but it's a new watch and it bums me out. I was hoping someone could give me simple ...

Re: Minor scratches
Yeah, I get your point. If I'd had the watch a bit longer it probably wouldn't bother me as much. Most of my other watches have acquired character and I just live with it. I am surprised by it though. I have no idea when it occurred but have no recollection of bashing it against anything and expect ...

Minor scratches
Hello y'all, This is my first time to post on this forum. I have just begun acquiring dive watches: so far I have a bronze Archimede, a Dievas GMT and an Aegir CD1. Unfortunately, despite great care, I have somehow managed to get a very light scratch on the bezel on my CD1 right above the 12 marker....
