Re: Happy Veterans Day to who all served!!

If no one knows how Veterans day started it use to be called armistice day 11-11-1918 the day WW1 ended the war to end all wars but as we know that was not the case.

Looks great, I'm looking forward to seeing it in the bund. How big (small) is it?
I think 34mm but these wire lug watches all ways look bigger on WW1 era bund style straps.

Really cool looking dial and blued hands and the patina on the lume can't wait to get this watch. Will have to order a strap like the one I have on this other WW1 era watch I have in the collection.

That is very cool.. wouldn't look out of place in a modern designer type house. Congrats!
Excuse my ignorance, does something like that need winding daily? and is that a power reserve indicator on the right?
Most ships clocks have a eight day movement. I wind all my clocks once a week.

Even in Montana I can find Chelsea ships clocks

Well went to a auction in Montana the other day. There were three things I wanted to bid on. A WW1 Navy recruiting poster, Argentine issued air force 1911 pistol and a Chelsea ships clock. Well the poster and pistol sold more than my comfort zone and the clock would not be put up for bid until about...
