There are leather straps out there that look like traditional leather straps out there. The ends bend over the fixed lugs there are holes on one end were you bend it over and there are bendable metal clip that go through the holes to secure it. Nice rally timers. Cool car. My uncle built a kit car in the 1960’s the body was a Devon made of fiber glass with a Chevy V8 I remember pipes on the side. He use a lot of aircraft parts to make it lighter it sort of looked like a cobra it was fast as I remember.

Looks like a Seiko case and I bet a Seiko movement. Maybe a early boutique watch co were Seiko supplied some parts and another company the dial and hands. Guess what I found out these are made in China 🇨🇳 all ways thought they were made in the good old USA 🇺🇸 due to the high price to pay American workers.
