Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

Is that minute hand falling apart? If so, have you subsequently stabilized it? It’s been the exact same since I got it, over the last 4 years, I’m not doing anything yet but probably something to keep in mind for the future. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190326/44b196832e01b93755c7cd1b56955959...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

Here is one that mite be a cheap investment less than a vintage Rolex. Seiko about ready to reissue a 6105 for over 4 grand. Vintage ones can be had for 1000. I have a vintage Tudor snowflake we use to call it the poor mans Rolex sub well when Tudor reissued the snowflake that changed things the vin...

Re: TGIF --- WRUW FRI March 22nd

Wearing this today a vintage Seiko 6105 the original think I got 500 bucks in it sure beats paying 4 grand for a reissue any one who buys a reissue a idiot at that price when vintage still 3 grand less. Wonder if vintage will go up in price like the Tudor did when Tudor brought back the snowflake we...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

I was at a antique show once was talking to a seller who sold vintage watches and other stuff. He said he sold his vintage watch collection he had at the time and used it to buy a house did not ask what type of watches he let go but he sold them way more than he bought them for. Went with my brother...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

I would never invest in a watch. Just now how I think about watches, regardless of what it is. If I am going to invest money, it will be for something where I know I can make a profit. If I have money for X watch, it will be because I want it and will wear it. If In 10 years I see that this watch i...

Re: Group shot of a few favorite vintage dive watches

Damn. Looks like you got the seiko reissue early. That Seiko 6105 I got as a fixer upper for a little under 300 bucks when they were cheap had it service and a after market 6105 crystal put in at time of service and then sent it to Jack at IWW to relume it since the lume was shot 500 bucks total in...

Re: Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

It's a gamble I bought a lot of vintage watches but bought them because I liked them not as a investment but because the price was affordable. Just buy some thing you like how it looks the cool factor and what I mean by a gamble some went up in value big time some went up a little . I bought this fo...

Re: Seiko 6105 Apocalypse Reissue LE

My vintage one about 4-5 seconds fast a day even with that crown being different at time of service years ago it passed the water proof test don't know if I would trust it the crown lock still works. Remember when a vintage Tudor snowflake can be had for 2000-3000 and how when Tudor made a come back...

Any one who pays 3000 bucks a idiot when a vintage one the original is cheaper. Think a vintage one can still be had for 700-800 for one that needs work and 1000-2000 for one in perfect and serviced condition. Here is mine got less than 500 in it when you could get a fixer upper for under 300 had Ja...
