Re: Does the 36mm Exp make my wrist look fat?

It looks small on you. I don’t think it’s the circumstance but the shape of your wrist. I’d be interested to see a 39mm explorer on you. I think my 36mm DJ is tad small on me but when I tried a 39mm explorer it felt like a dinner plate.

Maybe one more hole out it wouldn’t look as tight?

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231111/874149d6e848e6905fe1289dfd0af7f5.jpg Having mixed feelings. It’s great during the day but hard to see in he dark, not the watch’s fault, just my aging eyes. I’m thinking about selling it and ordering a Fenix 7 or Epix Gen 2. Both are on sale for $449 (Fenix...

Re: Incoming (it’s been a while).

I picked up the non solar instinct here a few years back. I use a garmin 1030 for my bike computer and love the ant + connectivity of the instinct. I don't have use a strap on HRM any more as the watch pairs nicely. Wife uses AW and when we are on the same walk or same ride her step count is differ...

Re: Incoming (it’s been a while).

Forget all this smart watch talk. What we really want to know is what you’ve been spending your time on since your absence? I’m having to live all this bicycle talk vicariously through you as apparently this was my year for knee surgery (ruptured patellar tendon). Sorry to hear about your knee, it ...

Re: Incoming (it’s been a while).

curious on your thoughts for the Instinct 2 Solar - I read up a little but real world review would be beneficial. Will do for sure. I’m hoping it’s as good as it reviews, I like my bike computer (Edge 520 and now an Edge 130 Plus) both were / are very reliable and the data on both Garmin Connect an...

Incoming (it’s been a while).

Not shiny and mechanical but I’m still quite excited! Last year I got a pair of Huawei fitness bands for my wife and I and loved the data especially the sleep info, yes large amounts of alcohol affect sleep and heart rate, who knew???!! We then started walking and hiking so needed something with GPS...

Re: Lum-Tec has started a new brand!

The name is less than ideal, curious who he came up with that. This is perhaps for future plans for that company to offer other products beyond watches? My wife tells me that cargo pants are coming back into style... so maybe they will capitalize on all of the crazy shit that the EDC crowd brings t...

Re: Non-Watch People Wearing WIS Watches

I was at a worldwide service conference around 2010/2011 and came across two interesting watches, the service director from Egypt was wearing an AP Royal Oak and the one of the European (don’t remember which country) guys had on a Tag Heuer V4, I didn’t know too much about it except it was belt driv...

Re: What do you drive???

About 3 weeks ago my bro in-law picked up a 1999 996 manual as a project vehicle. Initially he wanted to set it up for the track, but has now changed direction and it's going to be set up as a great car for weekend drives. He asked if I wanted to go halves on the project, as a track vehicle I decli...

Re: Biking: beginner tips?

It’s a Syncros (Scott’s in house component brand) XR1.5, I think it’s 132mm wide. I’ve been lucky with saddles, this one and the one that came on my last bike, a Giant Trance, have both worked well for me. I do get some numbness on one hill climb I do but that’s 1600ft in 5 miles and I loose feeling...

Also lost 40lbs (but ...
