Re: Tudor aftermarket rubber straps

I can't help but wonder – with all the new rubber strap makers cropping up (a'la Everest), aren't these all getting squirted outta the same moulds somewhere in either Italy or Switzerland? I just grabbed a "Zealande" strap for my SMPO via Watch Obsession, and it's basically identical to the Everest...

Re: Doxa 1500 T II screw lug bars

Good deal. Just a heads up you might be able to use shoulderless spring bars in place of them if you change straps a lot. This is correct – I run Seiko's fat shoulderless bars on my M31 (which I bought sans-bracelet, so it's essentially my NATO watch), and they work perfectly. https://i.imgur.com/Y...

Re: is Revolution smoking crack?

I have no idea about the overall piece, but it does have one of those uber rare “dot over 90” bezels. Not a speedy guy, so can’t comment otherwise. Edit: this kinda beat up bezel alone was listed for $2700 and sold. https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedmaster-don-bezel-dot-over-90.55946/ brb, eatin...

is Revolution smoking crack?

...maybe I'm just not brushed up on my Speedmaster lore, but in what universe does a pre-moon Speedy with replaced hands and a dear-god-what-is-that-bracelet go for $15k?? https://shop.revolution.watch/pub/media/catalog/product/cache/image/1080x1080/e9c3970ab036de70892d86c6d221abfe/o/m/omega-011_str...

Re: Yema is coming back...

Wonder if it'll be any better than the embarrassingly bad Alsta re-issue?

Proportions also seem off, but if that's how the original was designed, who am I to judge?

Not until they cool it with all the Maltese crosses. Crusader man jewelry went out with, well, the crusades.

This thread is definitely trouble. Had no idea there was a version that had applied numbers – that looks amazing.

Re: Bremont Waterman

Tried it on last night, found it to be surprisingly pretty great. Don't love the kevlar strap – seems like actual water use would degrade it pretty quickly. If they really wanted a conservation-minded tie-in, they shoulda made the strap out of recycled fishing nets or some shit. Either way, pretty n...

Re: New Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III Limited Edition

I like it and could even get used to the logo. Brushed case is a big plus. I wish they would just make a non LE < 45mm. The 40mm series 1-3 LEs are the best watches that BP has ever made. I’m not sure why they can’t release something similar as a regular watch. With that said, the 45mm version is r...

Re: Bremont Waterman

Generally I love white-dialed divers, and love the blue-on-white aesthetic (like the Aqua Terra GoodPlanet) but this one misses the mark for me. I think the non-luminescent matte blue markers is where it comes up short for me.
