Re: (steel moser) first used example as far as i know...

I don’t see it. Yes, it has a nice movement, but it’s a weird combo of a dress watch and a sport watch, for 11K. The dial and markers are very reflective and their is no AR on the crystal. It comes on a rubber strap and overall looks like an ill conceived design in my opinion. I have a feeling that...

Re: Aquatimer drilled springbar holes

Damn Rob! Looks perfect. Looove the hole location this time around. I find myself wearing mine on NATO mostly these days because the lug gap is just a tad much. Still 100% better than only having the OEM option. I ended up doing this with my 3290, after clipping those bars. Agree that it's far bett...

Re: Basel Releases 2018

The vast majority of the new Breitling collection looks like someone left off a few Photoshop layers – there's just something missing in the detail level. Can't tell if it bugs me, or if I just need to get used to it.

Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'

I like the 42MM PAMs---just have to be careful with the some of the newer 4 digit PAMs as it seems they went with less WR and snap on casebacks. Too bad they discontinued the 512--love that watch... The 682 is awesome- just tried one on---Don't love the price but one of the few newer PAMs I'd buy. ...

Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'

Does it have to be a Luminor or is a Radiomir also a possibility? If so I'd look closely at the (now discontinued) PAM 512. 1940s case, 42mm diameter, 11.25mm thick, 48.8mm L2L, in-house hand-wind movement. Great piece, my wife has pencil wrists and loves hers. Shit, that's real nice. Was thinking ...

Here are the specs on the 682.

42mm/14.5mm
51mm long
22m lugs
case is 106 grams
watch on OEM rubber is 132 grams
300m
That's immensely helpful. I'm pretty torn between the 682 and a few other references in the same line.

Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'

Tudor making a clear split away from the interesting, unique watches that defined their re-entry into the US market, as they've clearly got a much broader audience in their crosshairs. But does it matters if you like the watch? I mean, it does, but unfortunately I don't. Otherwise, I suppose I'd ha...

Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'

Would that really stop you from buying it? Really? Do you think anyone is going to walk up to you and say “Tudor huh?, lady Gaga wears them and now you’re a queer bitch !” I actually don't have anything against GaGa per se (c'mon, "Alejandro" is straight fire), I think I'm more bummed about Tudor m...

Ok, but what people aren't talking about are the other watches that Favre had in its booth – including the smaller vintage inspired divers, which were fukkin' hot. My 6.5" wrist for scale.

Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'

as a fellow "bitchwrist", i find the 44mm case more comfortable than the 42mm or 40mm models. as with most sport watches that are thick, the additional diameter helps balance the girth and keep floppage to a minimum. plus the 44mm case just looks classically panerai. Are they all generally the same...

Re: Basel Releases 2018

Citizen flew under the radar this year at Basel, but they did release an eco-drive movement (Caliber 0100) that is accurate to +/- 1 second / year without using radio/gps. So far just a concept movement, but would love to see it in a diver. http://www.citizenwatch-global.com/event2018/baselworld/im...
