Re: Recommend me a diving watch

It's a little closer to 200 bucks, but the Citizen BN0150 is nicer than the SKX in nearly every way, and probably a little more "maintenance-proof" than a budget auto. https://www.citizenwatch.co.uk/media/catalog/product/l/i/lifestyle-1_15.jpg?quality=80&fit=bounds&height=700&width=560&canvas=560:700

I figure when you have the money for this you probably have no care in the world for what time it is.
If you can afford to have it, you should be able to afford to lose it too.

Wouldn’t have happened if he was wearing it on a NATO :)

Bummer news for sure. I've owned a few of his straps, and he's made me straps for all my Oris watches over the years. Gonna miss him.

Re: New Breitling Avenger Collection

My fave of the group. 45mm though, :banghead: . What is the L2L on this one? If 50mm, that is doable. I didn't measure it (let's be honest, I don't travel with a set of calipers, but apparently I should?), but I've got a 6.5" wrist, and it wore totally fine. Seriously doubt it's 55mm – certainly fe...

This was my favorite of the new Avengers, but I'm bummed that it's still not a 'true' GMT despite Breitling definitely having movements with adjustable hour hand capability. https://scontent-sjc3-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/1a3b19f8b3324fe17f90cc79a6228711/5E1E5A11/t51.2885-15/sh0.08/e35/p640x640/69280223...

Re: New Aquadive Poseidon Bathyscaphe GMT 100 Limited Edition

Clearly Aquadive’s web site is a hot mess. The regular BS100 GMT shows 42x49x13 where as the Posiden shows 43x50x12.5 but 14.1 with case back? Then when you click on “additional information”,on the regular BS100 GMT, it shows 43x49 cm...like WTF? I know they’re only just typos, but they’re driving ...

Does anybody actually like the 2893 implementation of GMT functionality?
I don't love it for actual travel or moving around, but if I'm going diving and planning on being there for a week or more, it's actually pretty great to just set it once upon landing and then forget it.

Me too! I've always liked the Bathy 100 GMT model... really want to grab one this year.
Handled one at a GTG earlier in the year and was super impressed. Really really thin for being a 1000-meter diver, and the build quality was outstanding.

Thai Zimbe Shogum

Maybe an owner can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Seiko puts a very large premium on these – the community resale value seems to be where the gouging takes place. Maybe because they’re properly limited?

Handled this at both Basel and JCK, and it’s extremely well executed.
