Re: Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

It’s not the same ram, that XR has 3gb of ram and the XS 4gb. Also the XR has a LCD display with a lower resolution display. If you are coming from a 6 though, doesn’t matter. It would still be an upgrade for you. Personally if I was coming from a 6 and was going to upgrade, for $250 more the XS is...

Anyone picked up or planning to pick up the new iPhone?

Am I the only one concerned by the fact that Apple collected our fingerprints first, and now is collecting our faces? I don’t know, I’m maybe paranoid but I’ve always avoided Android for privacy concerns, I also never activated the Touch ID and would never activate the Face ID either. To get back on...

I really like this one. It would be even better with the speedy style bracelet and in 40mm, but still one of the best divers to come out in the last few years

Re: First-Ever Grand Seiko Quartz GMTs

Thanks to Jeff (jswing) I may have secured a LE. I should be able to pick it up either mid October (if it’s released already) or late November. I have been informed that Japanese release date is an opaque “October”, so I don’t think the date is set in stone yet. I’m super excited for this one. I don...

Re: Prospective buyer response (WUS)

It's now resolved but I would suggest as others have to specify payment method and fees. In his situation I would also have assumed it was PayPal and fees on you as that is the most common payment form on that site. I would definitely not have worded the response like he did though, he sounded like ...

A pic of mine: https://i.imgur.com/RY86SqF.jpg Good to know they were once capable of positioning the date window correctly. Tell me if I’m wrong, but it looks like on modern iterations, they increased the size but lazily did not modify the movement accordingly, so they ended up with the fucked up ...

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch

Tried and true design, I like it but it may need a bit more character to stand out.

It seems like eta movements have become much more available, their idiotic "we won't sell outside swatch group" must surely have backfired hard

The original ford GT40 is one of my favorite racing cars ever, with the Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Miura and a few others.

I like this re-edition but would take the original any day and twice on Sunday

Re: First-Ever Grand Seiko Quartz GMTs

Also, just the ability to adjust the hour hand independently on a HAQ is super useful for different TZs and DST. Otherwise, your watch could be sufficiently accurate for a decade, but if you have to set the time twice a year (or more) anyway, it may not make a big difference. ^^^ this The only thin...

First-Ever Grand Seiko Quartz GMTs

Best Seiko models to come out in a long time.
Some see too much of an omega/Rolex copy/paste but in my opinion the result is nothing short of fantastic.
I may have to get one if the price is anywhere close to reasonable, the issue being I like the LE the most.

Re: Interesting thread on TRF - Rolex IS watching

Absolutely incredible. I'm glad I have little desire to own a Rolex, I would never put up with the BS some people do to own one. Me either. Freaking crazy what people would put up with to purchase a marketing tool. Like Ferrari. Unfortunately I have no experience buying a Ferrari, but they produce ...
