Re: Gift Ideas for my 40th...

Platinum Day Date 40 with the ice blue dial. Though really for that money I’d spend two weeks or more in Fiji in true luxury style. When I think about what I should gift myself for the birth of my son I go though the following: - The wise option: “you just bought a Sinn and a Nomos, that’s enough” ...

Re: Arizona Fine Time

I had a great experience when I visited, but that was back in 2012 or so when Joe was around (I heard he now works for seiko right?). Great guy, oozed passion and love for his job. Not sure how it is now but they seem not to have done anything to change the positive perception people had of them at ...

Re: Gift Idea for my 40th...

Don’t buy a thing but an experience.
I’m turning 40 in May and I’m looking to go to Isla Guadalupe to dive with great whites with a couple of buddies.

Big congrats on the collection.
Anybody with money can assemble a bunch of expensive pieces, but yours is both impressive and of incredible taste.

SLA035 Black Marine Master

I want one. I have no desire to sell anything to fund it or go to the trouble of tracking one down, however. I could probably track one down at MSRP from the Ginza store as I am in Japan quite often and have friends there. Let me know if you need any assistance, can’t promise anything but I can try...

Re: 9 Reasons to Enjoy Sinn

556i uses a basic Sellita movement, I don’t plan sending mine in at Sinn whenever it’s needed.

Now I want an EZM3F though

WRUW Sunday 12th

Everybody enjoy this great day of football!

I’m still with the 556i, which is gaining a fabulous +0.5spd so far.

The bottom one looks vastly superior in my opinion. Good choice.

Re: 9 Reasons to Enjoy Sinn

I’m not sure I understand the complaints about the clasp, my 556i does have micro adjustment holes: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200108/7162baefce127d83be3c936538ad9de9.jpg Or maybe you meant something like a glidelock to adjust “on the fly”? In general I quite like the clasp in fact, it’s not...

Re: 9 Reasons to Enjoy Sinn

I would be curious to hear what the dissatisfaction with service was, if you guys care to share. Thanks in advance  I’m really enjoying the 556i a lot. It has the characteristics that could make it one of those watches that stick around for a long time. Great size Not too thick (I find many ...

So,
the case is a Tudor rip-off
Two dials are Rolex rip-offs
One dial is a Tudor rip-off
One dial is a Sinn rip-off

I’m missing one dial

Re: Nomos x Hodinkee LE

I love the Nomos Club hand wound, if they base their LE on that one it could look great (even if honestly I think the white version is already almost perfect*) Only issue is you can get a regular version for sub $1000 new, this one will cost 2.5x minimum *would need shorter lugs but the watch being ...

Sorry for the tangent, but if you can’t get away from FB, at least make sure to block its access to the mic. Facebook being Facebook they will likely still access it. I’m a light twitter user and I have a full (but static - I never post) LinkedIn profile as it’s basically an always-online resume, bu...

Nest Hello vs Ring Video Pro

None for me.
Enough privacy concerns with the mobile phone already (even if I take every possible step to minimize the damage), would never consider voluntarily putting a wiretap (Alexa or similar) or a spycam in my apartment.
