Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

It’s great how fast we’re going from watches that were ridiculously big to watches that are too small LOL

Re: Because DWC members know their shit: Motorcycle questions - what to get for my first real bike

That’s super cool Joe! My 919 is fantastic, I’ve been riding it quite a bit but mostly for fun rides, nothing too long (30-45mins). Only thing I’ll need to change is I’d probably have to buy some custom footrests, as my legs are a bit too long for the bike. Nothing bad, but not super comfortable and...

The new cards don’t have a name on them I think.
Both the OP and the BB58 I just purchased had the cards activated with an app by the sales person.

They should have made the company logo a bit bigger, it only takes up 40% of the dial

Re: Wruw September 2nd

Thanks Ed and merci Brice :)
I like how it looks and the blue tone.
The pic I took was indoors, and the watch looks dark blue. In the sun it becomes more “playful”.

I think they nailed it.

Looks great, don't wrap it. :shifty:
It was tough putting it back in the box.

New OPs

You have three normal ones that look good as always (black, blue, silver), plus four clown colors (yellow, red, a terrible looking green and turquoise)

Edit: the above are the colors available in 41mm

Re: New OPs

The new colors are horrible, and 41mm looks stupid.
I actually think this watch’s best size is 34-36 for a normal human and 39mm for a big wrist guy like Art or Ed.

I also really dislike the double baton (which is why I did not buy one of the older 36mm)

Re: New Submariner announcement Sept 1st?

A vast improvement over the prior model It looks exactly the same :) It’s still worse than the old five digit but the maxi case with the huge minute hand will possibly go down in history as the worst looking submariner ever made. This new model at least has slimmer lugs and a better minute hand.

Re: Ute Watch Co is closing up at the end of September

Thanks for all you’ve done Terry.

I have to say everything I bought from you was always great value for money, better than advertised, and always came with a great touch of CS.

That is very rare these days and will be missed.

Wish you and the fam all the best

Re: New OPs

I like how the minutes hands looks better.
Overall it’s a “slightly less bad” version of the 6 digit which is a huge step back from the 5 digit.
I may try to grab a second 14060m

The OP 34 are for the second iteration in a row by far the best looking updates.
I’d rock a black or blue one.

New Steinhart - Ocean One GMT two- tone chocolate

Oh god NO!
Real gold is difficult enough to wear (calatrava, an old two tone DJ and a 36mm Day Date being the only things with gold I’d ever do), fake gold? No thanks

Re: New Submariner announcement Sept 1st?

I'm not sure I care about Rolex anymore. Being back in Italy has helped in terms of making Rolex less unlikeable. So many people here have one (it’s the quintessential “gift”) that it’s not really a status symbol. Wealthy people will get one for their 18th birthday, middle class people will buy one...

Re: New Submariner announcement Sept 1st?

Honestly, if they redesigned the lugs and made them thinner, I may be back into modern subs.
How long have they had the too-fat lugs now? About 10 years?
Could be time for an update.
