Re: Monta Atlas GMT

There are lots of watches with large, applied, indices which don't require hands to be bent in order to clear the dial. Seiko can manage it on their GS GMT, Breitling can manage it on their Avenger GMT, and even low cost options such as Steinhart can manage it just to name a few. Don’t know about t...

Re: Baselworld 2019 - Breitling with 72 new watches

903 fills the slot just fine for me, but I like those divers, too. I like that they made them in 42, 44, 46 - something for everyone but Andrea ;) Ahahahah so true Luckily I got myself a nice Bling in 40mm :) I really like the 1959 re edition and would rock it at 42 no problem (it’s a busy chrono d...

Seiko Basel 2019

Wait a minute, the 6105 reissue costs 4.5 grand with an unregulated movement and they didn’t even bother making a strap that fucking fits the lug width? TAG Heuer Autavia Isograph

Looks like every brand needs at least a watch with a ridiculous crown.
I couldn’t recall tag having one, so they fixed it.

Seiko Basel 2019

Around $3000 for a well executed regular edition I’m in.
I’m a sucker for useless+outdated-but-still-somewhat-awesome technology like a +/-1spd quartz

Re: New Tudor Sub?

We can only hope there is something good to be released during the later days of Basel. If not, I’m not excited about anything this year. Seiko has only shown three to four gigantic, super thick watches, so we know something more is happening there. Maybe a 47mm chrono for $18000, a 43mm all dial d...

Which watch do you feel will appreciate most in 10 years?

Agree
“I’m buying this as an investment” said about stuff in general (including homes) usually means
“I can’t afford this but want to buy it anyway, so I’ll just come up with this bullshit excuse”

Re: Monta Atlas GMT

The jumping hour hand for a GMT is such a superior design, plus if one actually travels across time zones, the ETA style is super inconvenient, I found it almost useless.

SLA033J1 aka modern 6105

I meant you can buy certain rolexes for that price :)
I know it’s apples to oranges, but with $4500 to burn and a choice between this and a 36mm Explorer I it will take me approximately zero seconds to decide

Re: SLA033J1 aka modern 6105

I really don’t understand why seiko is making their most attractive watches LE. Same as the 62mas, they would have sold these by the truckload had they made these regular editions and priced them accordingly. Instead we’ll get a regular release which is too big, too thick or with too long lugs (like...
