Re: nth sub

In fairness the demands of WUS people are so insane that in order to meet them one would have to offer Rolex quality at $250

Terry, please let us know how the shroud feels
It’s the only thing that kept me from getting one.
I mean, if someone is unhappy with their gold 498 I’ll take it immediately and see for myself.

Off to Sweden to see an old friend and go to a Heavy Metal festival in Gävle.

Switched it to one of Stewart’s awesome straps.

Hodinkee's "One-watch" article

Many five digit Rolex could fall into this category for me.

16570, 14060m, fluted bezel Datejust, Explorer I in 36mm etc.

I just think the 16710 would probably be my favorite among them because it has an incredible versatility

Re: Hondinkee's

Honestly, as cliche as it is, I think 16710 is the best one-watch (also not a dive watch, sorry). I think a one-watch needs to be 1) durable, 2) versatile, 3) interesting. And for me, one more - needs to have some sort of horological significance (interesting complications, in-house movements, stor...

Wow Mike you always get the good stuff!

Seriously I’ve said this before but I believe it 100%: pound for pound you have the most kickass collection of the whole forum in my opinion.

Big congrats on another great score.

Also, I’m curious about the genital shake, can I get one?

He seemed like a classic 4chan guy based on some of his comments and the terminology he used, not to mention he linked the site in his profile at one point. Not good, not bad...just weirdly different. My thoughts exactly. 4chan and DWC have around zero point zero in common, and he seemed like a typ...

Fedex dropped something in Estes Park for me...

As you may know, I’ve been hiking with the wife for a quick vacation before I switch jobs. The place is amazing, a great example of why we love the USA. Plus RMNP was our last vacation when we lived in NY, so there is an added nostalgia effect that makes us love this place even more. https://uploads...

@torrid I totally get what Hans is saying, assuming he lives outside of the USA (or other countries with similar geography ie Australia). Trucks are American cars, made in America with America in mind*: they are great tools for the characteristics of geography/roads/etc but they are hilariously unpr...

Chris, have you tried on the SBEX001? That one was wayyyy worse. I still cannot believe that watch made it to market. It is fascinating in some sort of morbid way. I remember when I met with Matt Wu at Topper, I asked Rob if these monstrosities actually sold. He said that to his great surprise, the...
