Re: Mr. Yao Crackpot's new release - Tornek Rayville

So let me get this straight - it’s an expensive entirely made in Japan with seiko movement piece, but there’s still “administrative delay” for Bill which presumably means just looking at the watches he spec’d out and did no work on himself? He’s not even selling the “master bill” assembly of the Kin...

Not sure what the standard is in the US, but the biltong available in Oz is delicious. Barbell brand in particular is outstanding.

Just don’t flip before you come back home as I’d like to try it. :raised:

This one isn’t going anywhere. I’m already plotting out my 26mm strap collection.

The vote tally was overwhelming. Trigger pulled and I found an incredible deal locally in Australia, went from itch to scratch in no time! 706337B4-89D4-4364-B7B7-8EC3800E388C.jpeg Congrats! Great watch, enjoy it. Thanks mate! It’s really by far the best Panerai I’ve ever owned or tried on, amazing...

The 372 - how good is it actually?

I’ve got a renewed love for sandwich dials with the 915. It’s just a tad bit....small.

Can 372 owners or past owners who flipped chime in on the upsides of the 372? The dial, the P3000, the sort of different 1950 case?

Am I wrong in thinking this might be the best PAM to own?

Love this dial!

Micah has a great deal going on straps - I’ve got one of his rolled canvas and one more in the mail. Incredible quality and he has a camo option you might like.

He’s also super easy to deal with, replies quick with answers and is helpful!

Re: I’m digging the new black alpinist...

The problem with seiko is that they so far have been happy to raise their prices by a lot, without delivering the improvements that would be expected at that price level. Inconsistent timekeeping on an iso rated diver at $130 (skx009)? I’m good with that. Same with a well executed watch for $350 (o...

Re: Weiss watch co experience

Yeah I can see how those delays would be frustrating - in my case though, with the time to ship the parts plus my independent I had the watch in my hands fixed within three weeks, and it was Whitney I dealt with on email. I guess after a bad experience with a small brand (MKII) I was really happy to...

Weiss watch co experience

Just wanted to take a sec to say how awesome and easy it was to deal with Weiss on servicing. I bought a white dial standard issue Weiss from another member here some time back. It needed a service - Weiss right now because of COVID is only doing warranty work so off to the local watchmaker I went. ...

Straight on to my assolutamente - anyone got a good canvas recommendation? I love the watch. It’s clean and the sandwich dial and tan lume really stand out. This is my first 8 day so keen to see how it keeps time. This one is a hit, really simple panerai and what the 510 was meant to be. D82910A2-24...

Ahhh for the days when $1200-$1300 got you an 8L35 in a diver that people compared to Rolex and other major makers. I like that Seiko is offering these new ones but damn it’s hard to forget what a good deal the sbdx001 was. Even the special edition versions were comparable to the new 6R stuff. Any w...
