Re: Any fisherman out there?

I am about 43 seconds, house to boat launch. I fish year’round, Coho, Chinook mostly. Spot prawns (you call them shrimp) are plentiful, as are Dungeness Crab. Here’s just a few pics… https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240325/b77f3052a2cedff31ae437870ff4a916.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2024...

Re: Any fisherman out there?

Took the kiddo out again today and he got into two 2# bass but they shook the hook upon jumping. Had to talk him down a bit, remind him he's brand new to lure fishing (outside of worm and bobber), the most important thing is he has the "feel" now, and that I am very proud of him. Saw him getting a b...

Re: Any fisherman out there?

I like standing in freezing water in the middle of the night throwing custom wood lures at fish with the brain the size of a pea in hopes of this happening. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240320/859b558bc072eefa1982af2ff591d97a.png Summertime is fluke (summer flounder) time for me. https://uplo...

So many of my friends had Bass boats there was never a reason to buy another boat, so I've been a co-angler ever since.

Re: Any fisherman out there?

I use to fly fish while backpacking and loved it. Then when I started hitting mid career, I just didn’t have the time anymore. My wife loved fishing as a kid and d always wanted to learn so we bought new gear recently and have fished a few times while RVing, but we really need to put it to use this...

Any fisherman out there?

Trying to parlay some funds with the recent 6309 I posted in the for sale forum. If it doesn't sell it doesn't sell.. I'm left with another 6309, right? My 11yo is getting much better at fishing and has graduated from bobbers, so I gifted him a shimano symetre 2000 i've had for 25 yrs on a 6' GL3 G-...

Re: Anybody know something about this OLD Omega?

Having just bought a couple early pocket watch movements on ebay for a project, there's plenty of purveyors who might be willing to give an answer. Might be worthwhile to search, find a reputable account with numerous positive transactions and a store front you can ask a question doing a reverse sea...

I happen to love them for the price and the OD and Brown fabric "patinas" for a great warmer look overtime. Something i don't get as much with the seatbelt fabrics.

Looks like most 20/22mm are back in stock for those of us with mortadella wrists, and who enjoy being able to double over the strap into both keepers.

That is a great line-up! How do you like the Pelagos 39? What are your thoughts on the bezel and dial finishes? i still want to try a pelagos 39. okay, boys - a mini P39 review: TL;DR Love it... 9/10 Like any other watch, it does have its nuances, or as Doug Demuro would say "quirks and features" I...

How to measure curved spring bars?

Entertaining the idea of servicing this one sometime this year: https://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=77675 According to my crap calipers, lug with is 18mm on the watch head, but the original roached curved spring bars are 21mm tip-to-tip when fully extended. If I purchase 18m...

Re: King Seiko 56KS

I have my FILs LM 5206-6020 which was one of the models before this one although doesn't say hi-beat on the dial.

Needs servicing and i've been putting it off forever... Not sure if anyone has the know how as the 5206 movements quick set date is fragile and that's currently part of the problem.

Re: New Seiko Thread

I didn't mind the MM300 bracelet and managed to get a good fit. It was the top heaviness that was a factor and could have benefited from wider lugs... They could have made this rendition so much better but missed the mark.
