Re: New Seiko Thread

Welp, today was supposed to be shipping day for my 6105 reissue, but my AD is still not shipping to the US, so I guess I'm out for now. I'll grab a used one later. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatalk When is EMS supposed to start shipping? I’ve gone to their website but haven’t been able to see any...

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

After making bread the old fashioned way my entire life I caved and purchased a Zojirushi Virtuoso bread maker today. Gonna be fun and much easier!

Re: I’m digging the new black alpinist...

Last observations after a week of straight wear Timing is +5 day. Been awhile since I’ve had a sarb017 and maybe it’s just the new anti-reflective coating, but the fit and finish on the watch may as well be a smooth bezel date just. Definitely seems like an improvement in QC and finish. Total win a...

Re: New Seiko Thread

Someone in OZ is posting pics of his capt. Willard on wus and the new 6r35 62mas is showing up as well. Shouldn’t be long until we start seeing them. Sure hope Topper calls me soon. I hope he has a really small wrist, that thing looks gigantic on his wrist. Sent from my LM-G820 using Tapatal...

Re: I’m digging the new black alpinist...

So my 6R35 is +4sec over the last 4 days of ownership, making it +1 a day average. On the first 24hrs I noticed it was +3sec on that day alone. Not sure why? I’ve been wearing it non-stop with the exception of overnight sleep. I’ve been putting it in the dresser at the end of the day with the dial u...

Re: I’m digging the new black alpinist...

I owned the SARB017 for all of two hours. Was not impressed with the color. They nailed it with this one and the bracelet completes the package quite nice! Size is perfect on my 7.5" wrist. It's the perfect Exp1 alternative IMHO. Cyclops is quite small. I actually don't mind it at all as it doesn't ...

Tuxedo dials were the rage back in the day. My grandfather wore a couple. For sometime I wanted a tuxedo 36DJ but never pulled the trigger.

Re: New Seiko Thread

There's only one 6105. Production ceased in 1976/77. All others are just copies and re-issues. IMO if you're going to spend the money, get the real deal. Plus, a 6105 is Not A Fuckin' Turtle. While I don't disagree with that, I personally don't like wearing vintage watches. I like vintage style, bu...

The black 6105 on a rubber strap is going to be great.
I have a tropic waiting for mine and plan to add a tire tread as well. I doubt I'll ever wear it on the bracelet.
Which two straps are you going to purchase? I know little about these straps but am interested

Re: New Seiko Thread

Not sure if this video was posted already but Peter goes into depth comparing all the versions of the 6105 (original, reissue and recreation). Very interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ96mRUYOzo I watched it and thought maybe I should start doing reviews of things I’ve never handled. :rol...

I have a list like that on my wus profile signature except I haven’t updated it in years. Don’t feel the need to update unless I want to really depress myself.
