Re: new Hoodinkee / Jay Z AP?

Contact for availability. Lol. As if Joma is sitting on millions in inventory with one watch.

Serious question, though... why white gold? Platinum would put over the top on cost?

Re: Top Gun: Maverick preview

Trailer seems suspenseful and promising. Going to see it with my veteran cousins once released, but we're in for the nostalgia and Super Hornet. Hopefully the story and jet stuff is good enough to keep me interested enough so I can keep my thoughts on their ages at bay. On that note, Jesus H. Christ...

Re: X-33 Skywalker incoming

The omega Natos do seem very nice but there are so many color options it would need to be the perfect one color or a special color, of which there are many featured on the site! Until that day comes I'd rather have 5 Toxic Shiznits. Can you measure the OAL of the strap from the end of buckle to the ...

Re: Yema Superman GMTs

Has a slim SM300 profile, nice looks, great size so you know it'll wear great, but F'em, their shit QC, and unoriginal homage color scheme. Poor QC aside (only based on Brice's experience -- which is as good as gold in my book), it does have a somewhat original look minus the color scheme, and I'd e...

Re: U1 or U1 SDR?

Been a long time since I owned a U1 but it's one of those that got away and always wanted back. Collection has taken a different turn over the years but if I came into some dough it would be on the list for certain. It's up there with the old SBDX001 in modern classic status in my book. Congrats! Tr...

Re: Seiko modding time !

Blue version has a milgauss feel and I do love me some milgauss. What's the base reference again? EDIT: Nevermind I checked the OP. Did you explain where you sourced the snap-on bezel? Would be interested in getting that part and relaying it to a pal who would love the orange hand version...

Re: Hodinkee/Blancpain 07/17/19

Couldn't afford it anyway but if I could I would have passed. The watch market is so strange... You'd think there would be long term repercussions for another whored-out Hodinkee release sold-out in minutes (likely pre-sold 90%+), but at the exponential rate in interest of these LE watches I'm uncer...

Re: Going Quartz, Never Thought It Would Happen

Yep. Nothing wrong with one or more quality quartz in the rotation, and I say that wearing my 3570.50 in recognition of Apollo 11. I'll likely grab a quartz thereafter and be ready without worry. https://i.imgur.com/L0rCalVh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/XcHdbsch.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Tr7kPMxh.jpg https...

$284 now on jomashop.

If you have a $10 off code that’s a great deal. Wonder if they’ll discount further?

Re: New edition Bulova Moonwatch?

Came today and it's quite nice. Mini review: Simply put, if you had one, sold it, and sometimes reconsider like I did, this is the best version, and especially at the price I paid. Dial is much more balanced with the no-date and with the old style Bulova font. It simply works here and has that perio...

The original being the one Scott wore or the 2016 re-edition vs. the one in the OP? All the modern ones have 50m on the case back.

That’s 3 for 3 in giving it to someone else. Dude I “sold” it to bought me lunch... his father was a Apollo15 rocket engineer and he has 8.5”wrists, so he’s loving it currently. Like I said, I thought the new finishing touches and price was enough to try and rekindle the flame. It’s a very nice watc...

I’m not sure how it got past me. I need to watch Stranger Things 3 once I finish this season.
It was good. Worth watching although I don't know if season 4 will be unless there's a major twist.

Couple good moments near the end (one in song) and the other written.

Looks great in stock photos but Terry, Eric, Steve reviews = hard pass.

Citizen makes a great watch but this is not the watch you're looking for.

Don't see the P51 instrument resemblance but here's a great video of a modern veteran pilot during emergency P51 landing worth watching:

New edition Bulova Moonwatch?

Didn't know there were other styles of the Bulova Apollo 15 moon watch until checking Jomashop for prices of the original 2016 version on bracelet. Ran across the ref. 96A225 which is the same watch but the case is all polished and the "BULOVA" font on the dial resembles the original worn by David S...

Re: Speedy Pro question

It's not the main spring. It would have to go through a gear train to move the crown, not likely. It's the o-ring seal. Your old one was burnished and needed replacing. The new just has more "spring" to it. If you wind it and hold it for a while, the o-ring will spring back while you hold and you w...
