"If you’re not doing four hours of sports every day, you don’t deserve a Submersible."
That was a totally ridiculous statement.
So you basically need to be an athlete or a retired old man who bowls 4 hours a day? Ain't nobody got time for 4 hours of sports daily.

And for a little more than a 1/3rd the price of a Sub the value proposition is unmatched. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190220/344318076525e56c368c95c768e1e0bf.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190220/5bd3dddc16ce381cdadb1b28255c99ad.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190220/de5bc95f4...

Re: any rose gold in the BOD?

I’ve thought about getting a different ring when I had the gold sub.

Wife could care less what’s on my finger as long as I have the original.

Re: Seiko 6105 Apocalypse Reissue LE

it looks like they are using that same shit crown lock design. that is a disappointment. i am sure this will be like the 62mas re-edition and cost over 3k Maybe they’ll make a more affordable 6R version like the other new models more in line with the cost most of us would prefer to pay for a Seiko....

Re: New Anonimo Nautilo Vintage

I like it but it lacks all Anonimo DNA.

Their attempts at going back to the old days in terms of design did miss the mark in recent years but if you removed the logo on this one I wouldn’t have guessed it was Anonimo. Seems too safe in a way.

I like that the white date still acts as a marker in this case thereby balancing the dial. But torn based on the Seiko programming

Re: Seiko Mod question: Day/Date wheels

I've always wondered how that combo would look. Based on that photo, I still can't decide if I like it. Right. I think it looks good and better balanced but might be one of those mods that needs to really sink-in before you fall in love. I think it's because we've been so programmed to seeing the w...

Re: Turdle bracelets and clasps.

I have a BOR from Harold wrapped in plastic if I need to go that route, but decided to give the SJ a try this time. I did buy a 6309 lollipop and Bubbleboy from Harold last night so I'm certainly doing my part to keep him in business.

Seiko Mod question: Day/Date wheels

I've had a couple NAFTs modded over the years and on one I opted for white/white and the other I asked duarte change to black/black. Unfortunately, both are on the wrists of friends now so I can't really inspect them closely. Sorta torn on what to do with the SRP777 black dial and white/white day/da...

Yeah I happen to have an extra mm300 clasp in the spare watch parts case. It’s a direct fit, eh?

Re: Turdle bracelets and clasps.

Good to know.

So the standard SJ from strapcode is still a good bet?

I have a bubbyboy crystal and 6309 lollipop incoming for a NAFT mod from Harold, but wanted to try an SJ rather than his BOR (which I have).

Anyone tried strapcodes racheting clasp? They offer it on the NAFT SJ but it comes at a $30 premium.

Re: Best price for srp777

Gray dial is no doubt nice but sometimes black is all that’s needed for a good tasteful lollipop/dome/bor mod with all the turdle colors we have today.

I appreciate the link, David.

Best price for srp777

Missed a birth year 6309, the new LE makes me sad that I can not afford without a purge, so now thinking of another turdle build. Who has the best prices currently?

Re: MKii / Bill Yao on Gear Patrol [emoji848]

Is it a homage if it’s better than the real thing? Only time I can think of this ever happening was with USFA vs Colt and its SAA. Much better than any Colt made imho. But that was with firearms. Strange that if someone could legitimately reproduce a better example of a classic watch I likely still...

Re: Am I an idiot? Just resolved/promised not to buy any more watches in 2019

Thing is it's not really about the vow but being happy with the state of your collection. Once you get what you're happy with the rest can work itself out over time. I always leave myself the option of one premium "wildcard" watch on top of 3 other mainstays (going on 6 years for all), but rarely fe...
