Re: IWC Ceramic BP

I’ve tried it on and loved it. The black ceramic made it seem and wear a little smaller than the metal BP models.

Haven’t tried the Ti model but Andrew knows his IWC pilots

Bezel is very breitling. These guys never seem to come up with a 100% original design.

Re: Two Special Quartz Divers

While I can appreciate vintage Seikos, I'm definitely not interested in going down that rabbit hole. Too much effort. Now if one has watch making/servicing skills I can see it. I hear you. It's a hoarders dream. The hunt is fun but at this junction I'm only interested in keeping my Pogue running fo...

Re: Two Special Quartz Divers

Seems a lot of the Seiko forum guys are like this. It's not necessarily a bad thing because we all appreciate Seikos here but HTFU certainly applies. When I procured my Pogue from a wristsushi seller you would have thought I was dealing with a Patek collector. It was hard to get him to part with th...

Re: Two Special Quartz Divers

Spencer has invested a large portion of his watch enthusiasm in restoring old Seikos. I’ve emailed him once to vet the pogue I was about to purchase from a private seller and he also tipped me on what parts to buy for the movement. He did so even though he’s constantly looking for the parts himself....

I like it. Took me years of wearing a Maratac OD to even get close to this color. Distressed OD.

Re: Shoulda kept it sealed...

Sold my 116600 before it was discontinued. Regretted it every single day until I got my 43.5mm blue PO.

Overall, it’s a better watch than both the SD4K or SD43 IMHO.

Used Topper again, great service!
It works with pin style bracelet? Wonder if it would work on the speedy 1998/849?

Isn't the polaris alarm a $10K watch? This seems an easy choice.

Re: talk to me about sporty haq perpetual calendar (date) options for women

Was interested in the sbcm023 years ago. Wish they'd bring it back but too many eggs in the GS basket now. They come-up for sale every so often but at a premium which is still <GS money. Think they're 36mm which should work unless she's petite. The new HAQ GS GMTs with the 9F86 have an independent h...

Re: Damasko rust???

Maybe the watch and bracelet were wiped down with something that had another type of metal shavings, leading to galvanic corrosion? But would the coating prevent it? And what other metals could be introduced if all the steel process is the same at factory? It's the metal itself as no other metal is...

Re: Planet ocean 43.5mm Blue has arrived...

That is fantastic! As I get older, watches over 42mm are starting to feel too big, but that looks like the perfect size Wears flush to my wrist with the scalloped case back burrowing into my chubby wrist. Been some time since I could knock out 82 clear-the-plane-push-ups in two minutes with 20 seco...
