Re: im getting bad thoughts on this Farer

I like the color palate and all that Farer is doing to give themselves their own identity. As mentioned before, I promised myself to never consider a micro, but these don't feel like your typical micro... I hope they get enough traction to give Bremont a run for their money. Seriously considering th...

Re: Gift for the wife need opinions.

Glad I caught this one late. Congrats, Eric. Bought my wife a 116234 36DJ years ago and have recently resized it for me as she hardly wears it anymore. She wears mostly vintage Ernest Borel cocktail estate sale finds (3ea), her late grandfather's 34mm constellation, and tokidoki watches (she has 5 a...

Re: Rambo 5

"Yo Cartel, I have a particular set of skills..." Last one was entertaining enough. Back in 2002 I remember an old retired group CSM civilian member of SERE lvl.C cadre at Camp Mackall who worked as part of the survival capture phase. He was about 9 feet tall,~60y/o at the time and could run circles...

Thanks guys. Wish I had a ton more to give out. I’ll work on another batch this next year. It’s always a bit different as the cornucopia of peppers differs.

Will you be selling any? My wife has been on a tea and honey kick.

I’d trade you my hot sauce for a small jar if interested.

My buddy used to sell his at the store front of a restaurant I used to run.

One day his queen died or flew off and he lost the entire colony.

Re: Farer Cobb Mechanical Chrono Review

Love what Farer is doing but promised myself never to consider another micro. These guys seem a bit different. If they keep playing their cards right, they'll be above Bremont in my book.

At this point I'll just wait for the inevitable DWC flip from the usual suspects and current Farer owners.

Re: Audemars Piguet pulls out of SIHH

This has been a long time coming since Omega. The once-three long time Rolex ADs in Sacramento (under the same name) used to be an Omega AD as well, until that dissolved and Omega opened a boutique in Roseville Galleria Mall a few years ago. This prominent Sacramento Rolex AD have since consolidated...

Second watch delivered and perfect! Yippie!

I managed to capture the bezel of the first delivery next to today's delivery. Check the bezel at 20-30. Keeper on wrist.

Re: Breitling Navitimer 8 B-01 Video

Breitling has a special place in my heart. The steelfish was one of my first big purchases and there's just something great about the brand I can't put my finger on. Slide rule Panda Navitimer is where it's at imho. I bought a Citizen Nighthawk just to have a proper slide rule watch, have watched so...

It’s a sweet watch no doubt so fingers crossed for tomorrow. If the chapter ring or second hand alignment is off on the second delivery I’ll make an exception at $230 on the first. Terry, what are your thoughts on the dlc shroud? What cosmetic treatments can be done to a raw SS shroud, assuming he s...

Re: Seiko SNE498 arrived

So I bought two of these under the recent Macy's VIP deal with 20% ebates rebate. Actually, the reason for both was because the ebates rebate didn't stick on the first for some reason so we ordered another. One gets sent back The first came today and the other tomorrow. As an OG tuna owner it's a sw...

Looking over those medals your old man has seen a lot in a lot of theatres. Yes he did. WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He was 16 years old when he enlisted. He started out in PBY's in the Aleutian's Islands when the Japanese invaded them. Later he transferred to Avenger torpedo aircraft on aircraft carri...

Re: I'm Pretty Clever (maybe not)

It's never too late to wear the watch on your correct wrist. I kid but have a great friend whose mother taught him to wear a watch on the left as a southpaw. Search the SBBN015 I sold for a song here and you'll see why I'm torn on the subject of tradition after lending him my watch for months. EDIT ...

I still can’t get over the fact that the Navy exchange in Hawaii (the largest in the world) has a 15 foot banner over the Shinola watch display case that says MADE IN THE USA with a big American flag... I thought they were told to cease and desist? Interesting. They're also sold alongside Oris at t...

So tired of the same old dial design from Weiss. the most un 'Merican thing I have heard today. He's beaten that dial to death in every color imaginable and even in a smaller size. I like his design but not enough to purchase. Saw Americandave's during his trip home for summer and thought...
