Re: New Benrus Type I

Also noticed Benrus gives a 15% discount for military/LEO/First Responders. Hopefully it applies to this when released. I was approved in minutes. I assume if you qualify for GovX you’d qualify for their discount. Mine worked. If the watch is worth two shits hopefully they’ll accept the discount co...

Re: Carbon fiber / forged carbon watches - what options are out there?

Is the process automated with other watches? Good question. I’d imagine it being very expensive to program a machine to do the polishing for each model in a line-up. I stead it would be easier to design a jig like the one seen in the GS video. I’m sure Rolex does machine at factory and maybe does h...

Re: Carbon fiber / forged carbon watches - what options are out there?

Carbon fiber IS a gimmick much like GS Zaratau polish. It’s simply sheets or powder carbon fiber glued together with epoxy and exposed to pressure. I used to make micarta using a custom jig with clamps. You could likely buy a block of carbon fiber, G10, or carbon fiber from knife making supply and ...

That’s the look I want! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro I really don't see myself wearing this over Art's strap. Let me know if you're interested in purchasing it, Joe. I meant the look I want its on a canvas strap. Art is helping with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Good call. ...

Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

I can't wear anything under 40mm anymore. Why is the assumption that if you've made something too big in the past, that you have to swing all the way in the opposite direction? I know my taste change occasionally. Although my sweet spot is 40-41mm I find myself wanting to pick-up my third Sinn U1.....

Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

i like the smiths everest, but eddie has such a reputation as an ass, including if there are any issues with a watch he sells you, that i have no interest in putting any money in his pocket. he treats his customers with disdain, i don't need that in my life. This. Although the prs14 was a great SM3...

Re: WRUW - FRIDAY 9/11/20

Finished PT to see the first tower burning on TV and saw the second plane hit. Seconds later I hear the 1SG yelling up and down the halls “I want everyone’s cellphone in this bag immediately! No exceptions! No outgoing phone calls! We’re going to war, gentlemen!” My wife (then GF) was in Washington ...

So does Terry Silver come back? That voice at the very end of the season 3 teaser sorta sounds like him.

New case, new movement. Maybe the exterior changes are subtle, but they will probably address a lot of the maxi-case complaints. Assuming the issues with the 3235 have been resolved, it's nice to get some upgraded tech. And I do like the green bezel/black dial variant. But I'm not a buyer unless I ...
