’16 BMW X3 vs. ‘18 RDX

I will say the following: I owned a brand new BMW and had so many issues with it under warranty I sued BMW North America, won and made them take it back and refund my money. I also have owned Acura TSX, TL, MDX.....all I ever did was put gas in them and routine maintenance. Not an issue in the bunc...

Re: ’16 BMW X3 vs. ‘18 RDX

Thanks for the input gents.

Oil change and routine maintenance is more expensive. The guy who runs my local shop says RDX (or lexus) all the way. Not sure if he repairs BMWs but Acura’s run hard and are relatively inexpensive to maintain.

’16 BMW X3 vs. ‘18 RDX

I’m in a pickle as I like them both. The RDX (advanced pkg) has under 5k miles. The BMW (MSport package, not the high end M) has 30k miles. Both have top of line functions. The BMW is a great/fun ride. The RDX is a practical ride and somewhat fun. RDX is more practical but the BMW is more fun to driv...

Re: Opinions-first car for new teen driver

I’m in the same situation. In PA kids get their provisional drivers license at 16.5 meaning they can drive themselves. Mine will be ready in December. My only real concern is safety, but I’d like his first car to be a bit fun too. I’m thinking a preowned Subaru Outback, Crosstrek or Forester. Somet...

Re: im getting bad thoughts on this Farer

These look great - I’m not a chrono guy but the GMT and manual wind versions really caught my eye. They cost more than I was expecting but the warranty is better too.

The British voice in the videos sounds like the voice on Headspace.

Those are some amazing watches and an excellent Clint Eastwood story to go along. The movie looks like another Eastwood masterpiece.

Re: Ever sold a watch because of weight?

Yep. Sold a U1 and UX due to the size and weight, which is why I wear a T2 now. Really liked the UX and had it for several years but just couldn’t get past the heft.

If Sinn would only make a U1 in 40mm and in Ti that would rock...

Great story. I did this geocaching thing with my nephews (who were from out of town) and couldn’t believe all the sites located right in my neighborhood.

Anywhere between 40-42mm would rock for a U1 or a UX.

Excellent looking variant of the 556. Index dial, no date, blue, smaller case...checks off most of my boxes.

I like this vs. the H bracelet with the boring clasp. Are there any adjustment holes?

Re: I was a one watch guy for 3 months...what was I thinking?

If there was going to be one watch, a 42mm PO could certainly do it. I’ve come close to finding the “one” but have always found a good reason to keep the hunt going.

Speaking of IWC LPPs, I just tried one in at Tourneau. Wow. That’s a great watch too.
