Re: New project

This Watch can go under water until 100bar... Is not enough for u ??? [emoji1787] out of curiousity, since it has no dive watch features, what's the value of that (other than "because you can")? i mean, are you worried it will fall off of your wrist and off the boat and end up 1000 meters beneath t...

Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

yeah, i range from 35mm (my grandfather's omega deville and a vintage zodiac seawolf) to 44mm (U1 and NAFT). although granted both of the larger watches tend to wear a little smaller on the wrist.

my sweet spot is 40-42 for sure.

Re: Hodinkee Watch Insurance

i'd hate to have to go get appraisals on every watch i didn't buy new... but i wouldn't have private party invoices, either at this point.

Re: In Case You Missed It - Timefactors

i like the smiths everest, but eddie has such a reputation as an ass, including if there are any issues with a watch he sells you, that i have no interest in putting any money in his pocket. he treats his customers with disdain, i don't need that in my life.

sorry to hear that, Terry. Hopefully it's just a temporary setback.

Tried to take a look at what you still have out there, but ran into this error.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Supercompressor

so the 30% (with a handful of 50%) happen july/january. those tend to be returns in the 60 day return window. which *should* be unworn. sometimes they find old watches that "fell into the crack in a sofa" and you find old models cheap too. since this is new, i'd be surprised if many popped up in the...

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Supercompressor

it'll be interesting to see more 3rd party pics. CW notoriously does not take the best photos of their own watches. which still boggles my mind. at this point in their existence, you'd think they could hire a decent photographer.

have joma or gnommon ever sold CW? i thought they were purely direct-to-consumer. they usually put their own watches on sale.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Supercompressor

as usual, other peoples' pics are better than CWs. W&W has a hands on review. https://wornandwound.com/review/hands-on-with-the-all-new-christopher-ward-c65-super-compressor/ i really think they did a nice job with the profile of the case. https://wornandwound.com/library/uploads/2020/08/DSC_4785.jpg

Re: Jason Heaton’s Got a New Blog

Good comments Jason. IMO most dive watch reviews are lame. If a car reviewer commented about how comfortable a car's seats were, how good looking the car was, that the engine turned over, sounded good, and seemed to run well when the key was turned...but hadn't driven it? That is what many dive wat...
