Local electronics wholesaler. Don’t see many of that kind of shop anymore.

I wish I had your car skills, T. That looks like a lot of fun. It’s great you are doing this with your daughter. Those hands-on craft skills aren’t being learned by very many in the recent generation.

Re: Longines Big Eye vs. Farer Big Eye

I prefer the Longines. Both are very nice, however the Longines has a much cleaner, simpler look to me. Sterile bezel wins, as does the mono color scheme.

That’s really cool. I don’t see these being flipped quickly but I’m wondering about resellers snapping them up.

Death Star model is interesting with no markers. Glad they didn’t mar the image.

Re: Heuerville Coal Oiled Strap

I usually end up changing-out thicker straps for thinner because the thicker straps aren’t as pliable and comfy. Do I need to wear the thick strap longer, maybe spend some time flexing it, to get it to a more flexible state?

Re: Just an idea I had for a while...

The Samurai is a tough one to mod, in my opinion, maybe because of the angular case. Maybe because I like the old hand set best. I’ve also found it tough to like it on anything but a leather strap or maybe Nato. Again probably just me but that case is a hard match to bracelets other than the OEM, an...

I don't use the push stick enough, either.
All of our “experienced” (many years in the trade) craftsmen at work are minus at least part of a digit. Put the guard back, use safety glasses and the push stick.

Re: Shoulderless spring bar issue, putting in not pulling out!

Hi. The holes in the lugs (and/or bracelet end links) might not be perfectly aligned. With a strap, it's not a problem. You could try spring bars with a thinner center section. That will allow some wiggle room to get the holes to line up. Thus is what allows me to install the fitted bracelet for my...

Re: New Marathion Medium Diver with White Dial

It's a very nice watch, I think just much better looking with a black dial. I'm sure that tall bezel was made for purpose - to be easily gripped by someone wearing gloves. That tallness however doesn't work as well in the office of home environ where the height is more of an annoyance than benefit. ...
