Re: Weiss watch co experience

Cam serviced my watch awhile back but it was right around the time they had their baby so I told him to take his time and it was no rush. I work just a few miles away from his shop though, so drop off and pick up has always been easy and it's always nice to catch up and chat with him. From my other ...

Re: Anyone still use a desktop PC?

My pc I built late last year was the first time I've upgraded in about 8 years. I was sure I would fuck it up, but everything came back to me relatively quickly. Assembled everything and it booted up on the first try. Been enjoying Ray traced graphics on a 34 inch ultrawide monitor lately and I can'...

Anyone still use a desktop PC?

I had a fellow LA Watch Gang friend come over for a beer a few months back and he was amazed I still had and used a desktop PC. I've always enjoyed having a full powered desktop CPU based PC and a large screen to get all my work and gaming done at home. I don't get to game all that much these days b...

Re: Any regrets from Cord Cutters?

I haven't subscribed to cable since 2005 and in the last 15 years with things like streaming services, smart TVs, Youtube content getting better and more diverse, and piracy, I havent missed broadcast TV at all.

Re: CasiOAK Mod

very valid concerns, I think pretty much any mod will reduce the "durability" of a g-shock though, and making the watch tougher for sure is not the goal of this mod. But again, I have no idea of the quality, just something I saw on Reddit and was kind of surprised at the level of modding available o...

CasiOAK Mod

http://i.imgur.com/Bvu2hdgl.jpg Saw this over on Reddit. The guy who posted it said some sellers on Aliexpress are selling metal case/bracelet kits to mod the watch. Havent been able to check the site to find any myself though. original post @ Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Watches/comments/gii21...

Re: New 40mm IWC Portugieser

they look nice, I would love to try one on, but I don't see it getting much time in the watch rotation so no danger of me dropping any money on one.

Re: Ever Been Conflicted About a Watch?

Definitely buy what you like, especially since you do not technically have to ever have to deal with Kobold to own and maintain one of their watches. However, for me, the watch world is too big and there's too many cool watches out there for me to be conflicted about this brand anymore, I just move ...

Re: Discoloration on Pelagos bezel?

I would stay away from any sort of abrasion type of fix, the putty thing seems pretty harmless though.
Unless it is deteriorating at an alarming rate or looks objectively horrible, I'd probably just leave it alone if it were mine.

Re: Watch winders

I would consider a single watch winder if I owned a perpetual calendar that is a bitch to set but even then I'd only use it once it awhile to avoid setting it every single time in the rotation.

Re: New IWC Portuguiser Chrono

I'm not much of a chronograph guy but these were always attractive pieces to me. To me this new one is a nice update, whether it's just a sign of the times, or a genuine upgrade of some sort, the result seems pretty neutral. Which basically means, if you in the market for a new one with an 8 yr warr...
