Re: Sinn 2018 Basel Releases

That does look nice. I bet it looks enormous on the wrist. 43mm will be perfect for me and at 10.6mm thin, I bet it’ll be ridiculously comfortable on the wrist too! I’ll be putting a deposit down in a few weeks for the strap version & silicon/large clasp[emoji106] Hopefully I’ll have it by mid summ...

Re: Want to Mod Orange Seiko Samurai - DLC or Cerakote?

You could probably steal the bezel and sell the rest of the watch for parts for less than having it coated.

Cerakote and aftermarket DLC/PVD won’t last for shit on a bracelet.

Re: Want to Mod Orange Seiko Samurai - DLC or Cerakote?

My next Mod project is going to be swapping a SRPB55 with the dial/movement and bezel insert from the orange Samurai. Sell the leftover watch and you’ll have done this on the cheap.

Back to Rolex. Hopefully an easy repair.
Rolex Warranty wouldn’t cover what appears to be a defect?
I’m sure it will be covered. It’s only a few months old and purchased at Mayor’s.

Re: Skydweller On Watch Winder

Update: After giving the watch 55 full turns of the crown, he wore it for three days straight. The watch died on his wrist after 72.5 hours.
Back to Rolex. Hopefully an easy repair.

Re: Skydweller On Watch Winder

I spoke to him yesterday. He said he wound it and it does on his wrist within two days. He was all set to send it to Rolex. I don’t think he is winding it enough and thinks that it will wind itself up to full power on his wrist. I told him to give the crown 50 turns and to wear it again. If it stil...

That’s my exit watch. Not in the picture for me at this time, though.
I posted about this watch last year, it really is special and the least expensive Moser I believe
Unfortunately, the least expensive Moser is still way more than I could spend on a watch currently.
Kids are expensive.

Had anyone tried the Oceanking on an Isofrane?
I dont' think so. Most of them use the stock rubber strap. And it is a really nice strap, so maybe that is why someone hasn't tried it yet.
Nothing is more comfortable than an Isofrane, though.

I negotiated a brand new Si down to 21k. I decided I couldn’t have a car with a manual as my second car as my wife can’t drive it. That would have been a fun commuter.

Re: $20,000 to spend on a second car. What do you buy?

I just bought a 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport with 1063 miles for $20,500 at Carmax.
Not very exciting, but good looking, comfortable, and gets decent mileage.
