Re: New Oris Hölstein Edition 2020

Price seems reasonable for the novelty of the bronze bracelet, but I wish they used this to debut an in-house movement instead (and charged more for it).

Re: Setting time diver chrono' gmt

It’s probably more like a Rolex GMT. First crown position manually winds (duh), second adjusts main hour hand back and forth, third adjusts time. What you described (set time first using GMT hand and minute hand) and then adjusting main hour hand is what I would expect. Liked no quickset date (only...

I am, though, struggling a bit with the price compared with the standard version. Do you have any profile shots to show the thickness? I think I re...

Nope, not with the 8500 movement thickness imo. I find the 42 8500 most comfortable, and I’m around 7-7.25 right now.

Re: Valentine 1 Finally Has a New Radar Detector

Yeah I used to have v1s in all the cars, but I learned the hard way the officers here switched to instant on lasers and they became more of a hinderance than anything. I suppose the gen 2 still is not suitable in instant on scenarios. Fwiw, when I drive freeways now, I usually just use waze. That an...

Re: Interesting service response from Breitling

It seems like they care. It's hard to find people that give a shit. Very good point. Compare their response with some of the shit you hear about Rolex for instance, makes them look like rockstars [emoji6] Rolex has the parts to service every relatively modern watch they've made, plus a few generall...

10-15%. Your solid rep will make up for some of that. And after expiration, there’s 0 reason to have papers anyway imo. Authentication I suppose, although it can't be hard to fake the papers if you can fake the watch ;) But the lack of papers could make it harder to resell down the road, so I'd off...
